Prayer to Renounce Idolatry

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, renouncing all forms of idolatry in my life. I confess that I have, at times, worshiped things, and people other than You, the one true God. I have allowed physical idols and placed money, career, relationships, and other pursuits above my devotion to You.

Lord, I repent of these actions and ask for Your forgiveness. I turn away from all idols and dedicate myself wholly to You. I declare that You alone are my God, and I will worship You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

As it is written in Your Word, "Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen." (1 John 5:21 NKJV), I commit myself to keeping away from anything that seeks to take Your rightful place in my life. Help me to stay focused on You and to trust in Your provision and guidance.

Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and grace. I ask that You cleanse me and renew my spirit. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to live a life that honors and glorifies You alone.

In Jesus' name, I pray.
