Prayer to Renounce Pride and Self-Righteousness

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, renouncing all pride and self-righteousness within me. I acknowledge that salvation and righteousness come only through faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, and not through my own efforts or merits.

Lord, I repent of any attitudes, thoughts, or actions rooted in pride and self-righteousness. Your Word says, "But He gives more grace. Therefore, He says: 'God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.'" (James 4:6 NKJV). I humble myself before You, recognizing my total dependence on Your grace and mercy.

Forgive me, Lord, for any times I have exalted myself above others or relied on my own righteousness instead of trusting in Jesus' finished work on the cross. I ask that You cleanse me of these sins and fill me with Your Holy Spirit, enabling me to walk in humility and submission to Your will.

Thank You, Lord, for Your grace that empowers me to live a life pleasing to You. Help me to continually seek Your righteousness and to glorify Your name in all that I do.
