Prayer to Renounce Sinful Desires and Practices

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, renouncing all sinful desires and practices in my life. I confess that I have engaged in behaviors and harbored thoughts that are contrary to Your commandments, such as lying, stealing, adultery, and other forms of immorality.

Lord, I repent of these actions and thoughts, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I turn away from all forms of fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which Your Word declares to be idolatry.

As it is written in Your Word, "Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." (Colossians 3:5 NKJV), I commit myself to putting to death these sinful practices and desires. I surrender my mind, body, and spirit to You, asking for Your cleansing and renewing power.

Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and grace. I ask that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to live a life that is holy and pleasing to You. Help me to walk in righteousness and to honor You in all that I do.
