Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Otis Brown relocated from Seattle Washington to Tucson Arizona to pastor Siloam Freewill Church (now Siloam Christian Church) in December of 1996. In Seattle, Pastor Brown was bi-vocational, as he pastored for eight years while running his own construction company. Pastor Brown is now in the business of building up the spiritual lives of the believers, which in turn builds the moral and spiritual foundation of the homes. This is a testimony to the supremacy of God’s power and love working in and through Pastor Brown’s ministry.

Pastor Brown has attended several bible institutions and is a graduate of Union Western Seminary with a master’s degree in Theological Studies. Family unity is central to Pastor Brown's ministry, and whether it is the individual family, church family or the universal family of God, he strongly believes that Siloam Christian Church has demonstrated a special anointing for the restoration of the family unit. Pastor Brown avidly teaches the whole truth as given in the word of God, for he believes that knowing the truth is what sets people free.

Pastor Brown was born into a family of pastors and ministers where he developed a deep connection to God, drawing from the wonderful example that his parents demonstrated in the home and in the church. Dr. Otis F. Brown Sr., his father, pastored for 50 years before retiring. Pastor Brown's mother, Dr. Johnnie Mae Brown, was also a dynamic and powerful preacher and evangelist. Pastor Brown's sister, Dr. Daphyne Brown, pastors a church in Stockton, CA. His son, Otis F Brown III, is currently serving as a pastor in Seattle, WA. Pastor Brown has four granddaughters who are excelling in their walk with God, and one great grandson.

Pastor Brown was a widower when he moved to Tucson, but his single status ended in August 1997 when he was blessed to be united in marriage to Sis. Lendor Marks, and since then they have become a dynamic team in ministering to the needs of God's people.

In 1998 Pastor Brown completed the incorporation of the church and then endeavored successfully to complete the purchase of the beautiful historic church building at 628 E. Adams.

In addition to pastoring SCC, Pastor Brown also serves in the following positions:
  - Chaplain of the Buffalo Soldiers's (GSAAC). He rides with the Buffalo Soldiers every year in the Rodeo Parade.
  -  Secretary of the African American Churches of the C&MA
  -  C&MA District Prayer Leader
