Statement of Faith

Our Basic Statement of Faith (short version)

These are the four major doctrines that we avidly believe and teach.
  • Jesus Christ our Savior             (Matthew 1:21)
  • Jesus Christ our Sanctifier        (Hebrews 10:10)
  • Jesus Christ our Healer            (Mark 16:18)
  • Jesus Christ our Coming King   (Acts 1:11)

Siloam Christian Church Vision

The vision of SCC is to:

  • Reach the world for Christ
  • Build up believers through fellowship and growth groups
  • Train and equip workers to win the lost and care for the believers

We want to touch and impact the lives of our local and global community as a large ethnically and culturally diverse cell church, meeting the needs of the whole person through spiritual and social avenues.

Our teaching, preaching, outreaches and programs all center around our purpose and vision statements. Touching people's lives so they can receive from God.
Peter's mother in-law was healed (Matt. 8:15) when Jesus touched her. The woman with the issue of blood (Matt. 9:20-21) was healed of a long term illness when she touched the Son of God. People today also need a touch from God, but we need to show them that God uses the hands of the believers to touch the world.  The question we must ask is how can I be used by God to impact the world by reaching out to someone in need.

Someone once said, 'People don't care what you know until they know that you care'.  We identity with the concerns of the communities to whom we are sent to bring health and healing. Jesus was moved with compassion when he saw the sick, the downtrodden, and the discouraged (Matt. 9:35-38). To show compassion means that we care enough to take action. Societal concerns vary from community to community, but we must strive to remain aware of the 'real issues' that are affecting us today.

Families are fighting for their lives. Many are struggling to make ends meet. Children need to be able to get the benefits of a great education without the threats of hunger, abuse, bullying, drugs, and gang violence. These are the concerns of our city!  The church is responsible to address these issues and to proclaim that solutions can be found when we seek God for guidance. We must tell the world that God is aware of the plight of humanity, and that He has established the church as "His agency of change and restoration".
