- Father God, in the name of Jesus, I pray you would direct the leaders of this nation in how to respond to all of these senseless and violent murders.
- Grant them wisdom and understanding, and help them to respond quickly and effectively to each situation.
- May divinely directed decisions be on their lips, and may they do that which is right in your sight.
- May they follow your will to direct our nation in the paths of peace and safety.
- Unite all response agencies in an organized and harmonious fashion to bring quick and effective resolve to the demands of these crises.
- Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart, that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease.
- Heal our divisions and deliver all who are held under the powerful grip of deception and hatred which drives them to murderous thoughts.
- Expose and cancel all of the enemy's manipulation over the minds of these troubled individuals and may every plot be discovered and exposed in advance.
- May legislation be enacted swiftly to empower law enforcement, behavioral health agencies, families and individual citizens to intervene as soon as they perceive disturbing behaviors.
- Empower us as United States citizens to do our part, financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually to support all who have been affected by this tragedy, and to demand change.
- I pray you would encourage and strengthen our nation. Surround us with your love and mercy.
- Bring peace and comfort to all those who are suffering as a result of these crimes.
